    Wall Thickness

Thick sections can lead to longer cooling times and sink marks, while thin sections may result in part defects or difficulty in filling the mold properly. Designing with consistent wall thickness helps ensure proper material flow and minimizes warping and stress in the final part.
     
    Draft Angles
    Draft angles are necessary for easy part ejection from the mold. They are slight tapers added to vertical walls or features, allowing the part to release smoothly from the mold. Adequate draft angles help prevent damage to the part and reduce the likelihood of tooling issues.
     
    Parting Lines and Mold Design
